HOW WE WORK
Every production will encounter the need to make purchases from
suppliers who are not currently set up to do business in the location
of production. Further, because production entities are most often
created upon the start of preproduction, these entities have difficulty
establishing credit with vendors. TMC enables productions to utilize
its established credit and to turn these purchases into taxable
transactions. Bottom line: these transactions maximize incentives.
TMC maintains an accounting staff of knowledgeable and experienced
professionals who understand the particular needs of the film and
television industries.
- The Media Cooperative is a Dun & Bradstreet-rated company
that maintains credit with over 400 vendors who supply
goods to the film industry (see attached partial list)
- All TMC
transactions are subject to sales tax and a processing
fee
- TMC will work with production to establish credit and facilitate
purchases from any legitimate supplier
- TMC provides procedural
assistance to production accountants, coordinators and managers
throughout the process
- Upon request, TMC may also provide production
with a debit card and/or credit card that can be used for online
or telephone purchases
- TMC is available through the audit process
and can assist in verifying all spends
- TMC is owned and operated
by film industry professionals with over 20 years of experience
- TMC has a proven track record and excellent references
